Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!

How we choose to handle waste, affects our world’s environment. It is your environment and it is very important to manage waste effectively. We need to carefully control waste to be sure that it does not harm the environment and our health.

You can help by practicing the three R’s of waste management: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle! By practicing these three R’s you can make the world a safe and healthy place.

Things we must Recycle

Reduce means cutting down on the amount of garbage or thrash. The best way to reduce is to only buy items that you really need. Did you know that you and your friends and family can reduce the use of oil by sharing rides? So carpool!

Reuse means using something again rather than throwing it away. That means finding a new use for used items, such as making paper bags out of used old newspaper. You can reuse plastic bags, coffee cans and many such items in your home. Look around and think of things that you can reuse.

Recycle means taking materials from items you have finished using and making them into brand new items. Like the recycling of old aluminium uses only 5% of the energy used to make new aluminium. You can even recycle old toys with your friends instead of buying new ones! Did you know you can earn money for recycling? You can earn money by recycling soda cans, newspapers and plastic jars. Recycling is another way you can earn an allowance!

So by practicing the three R’s regularly, you are making a BIG difference!

Finding that next tagline, strategy or product at work or resolving a tussle at home or even finding a quick fix to a leaking pipe!
